How Much Does Slab Leak Detection and Repair Cost for Homeowners?

Sierra Air Conditioning & Plumbing’s slab leak detection is currently offered either free or at $29 under our promotions, and repair pricing is provided after diagnosis because it depends on access, pipe condition, and the repair method. The biggest cost driver is how we reach the leaking line (breaking concrete, rerouting above the slab, or using a trenchless lining), followed by how much pipe is affected and restoration needs after the fix. Our Las Vegas–area experience with heat, mineral-heavy water, and shifting soils helps us choose the least invasive option that still lasts. Small, isolated leaks often qualify for a spot repair; repeated leaks or brittle lines usually call for a reroute or section repipe. The diagnostic fee may be waived if we perform the repair.

What can raise or lower the estimate:

  • Direct spot repair vs. overhead reroute vs. trenchless lining
  • Length of pipe and number of tie-ins affected
  • Concrete depth and flooring restoration scope
  • Presence of corrosion or previous patchwork

If water is actively surfacing, shut off the main valve and schedule an in-home evaluation quickly to limit damage.
